Christmas

GFKAS is at the ACE hotel in Palm Springs today. I was planning on going but the baby being sick all week finally hit Robert and I. Instead of running out there we took it easy today. I’m so glad I did because I must be in tiptop condition next week. There’s so much to look forward to.

We spent the afternoon pulling out some of the Christmas decorations. There’s something lovely about Christmas in a small house like this one. Every little detail seems to light the place up. It’s already cozy, but Christmas adds an extra touch of warmth to the room. Elkin is too little to remember the Christmases past, but she’s old enough to enjoy participating in it now. Of course the other children remember Christmas fondly. Each ornament they place on the tree is special for one reason or another. Some were gifts from people they love and others they made themselves. It’s a happy time for us.
